New Skårt: Flying Around The World

I'm so excited about this new piece, and not just because it's my biggest piece to date.  I'm excited because there is so much detail to the design.  It features the two hemispheres of the world surrounded by flying objects.  Those objects include a blimp, a balloon, airplanes, the space shuttle and even the Starship Enterprise.  There are 17 items in total that are Flying Around the world.  See if you can spot AND name them all!

Featuring Arty, the Skårtshop bear!

This is my biggest piece yet, measuring a whopping 34" wide by 15" high.  It was made to go over a change table in a certain room you might remember with a custom argyle wall (Finished room reveal pics coming soon).  This piece is available at Skårtshop.com in 4 color combinations (Turquoise pictured below), or request your own combination to match your decor.

New Skårt: Sunshine!

This piece was designed for a friend who is decorating her nursery with a Mid Century flair.  The inspiration for this piece came from a the Small World Ride at Disney (see work of Mary Blair) and the George Nelson clocks.

 

To keep with the Mid century feel, it's printed in a Sunglow yellow on a walnut stained wood panel.  There is currently one available - ready to ship in my Etsy shop.  Soon to be released in a paper version with customizable colors.  

New Skårt -- Bathing Elephants

I've been giving you sneak peeks at the elephant panels I've been working on.  I am proud to announce that they are finally up and ready for purchase.  Visit Skårtshop.com to take a look.  They are meant to be hung as a set but they were also designed to work as individual panels.  They are available in select color options but as always I am happy to work on a custom color to match your decor.  If you are in the L.A. area you can see, touch, feel and buy them in person in the baby section at La Bella Cosa Store in Culver City.  10% of each online sale of Bathing Elephants will be donated to the David Sheldrick Wildlife Fund.

New Skårt: Penguin Footprints

Following on the theme of "Take your Sister to Work Week".  My sister tried her hand at designing and making a few t-shirts.  She came up with this adorable scene of two Penguins trudging through the snow.  So adorable, that I helped her turn it into Skårt.  You can find different colored versions of this print for $16.00 on Etsy.  

Now I'm trying to convince her to design a few more so we can turn this into a series and print it on wood.  What would you like to see? A series of 4 different penguin prints?  Or other animals, maybe polar bears? seals? or other arctic/antarctic creatures?
